My husband, Vitaliy, and I have done quite a bit of traveling in the last 8 plus years. It all started with our honeymoon and grew into something we choose to do again and again. In the first few years of our marriage we tried to do it as often as our budget and vacation
time allowed, thinking we will have to slow down, if not stop at all, once we have kids. Well, it turned out we haven’t stopped yet and are planning another trip with our daughter, Ashley, who will be 3 years old in a couple months. I must say traveling is not that easy, especially with a child, but for Vitaliy and me, it is something we both enjoy.
We have made many memories over the years and sometimes I find myself needing a reminder about the place or city we are referring to when talking about our trips. Yes, we do have lots of pictures to refresh our memories, planning notes, souvenirs, and etc. but I keep catching myself regretting not keeping a diary or something well-organized that I could share with others and especially with our daughter when she is old enough to understand where mommy and daddy kept taking her. So, here I am, keeping my New Year’s resolution and starting a blog.
Here, I also plan to share my life experiences with hopes to be an encouragement for others on the journey of life. I have no doubt my life could have never been as fulfilled as it is without Jesus by my side, so you will find me talking about Him as well.
I believe that God who created each of us with unique fingerprints does have
a different and a special plan for each and every one of us. For some it does involve traveling, and not so much for others. There is also a season for everything in our lives. The best part is that His plans are always and always for good. My philosophy is “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.” Psalms 37:4
